Nicholas Joseph Travascio III (also known as Nicholas Joseph Tarvash III) of Hurst Texas a stockbroker formerly registered with LPL Financial LLC is referenced in a customer initiated investment related written complaint on December 31, 2020 where the customer requested $90,000.00 in damages supported by allegations that they were provided with unsuitable investment recommendations as it related to a real estate investment trust held between February 2020 and December of 2020. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Arbitration No. 20-04083 (Dec. 31, 2020).
Travascio has been identified in four additional customer initiated investment related disputes containing accusations of his improper activities while employed by LPL Financial. FINRA Public Disclosure reveals that a customer filed an investment related complaint involving Travascio’s activities in which the customer sought compensatory damages based upon allegations that Travascio made misrepresentations regarding a real estate investment trust purchased by the LPL Financial customer.
On October 7, 2019, another customer initiated investment related complaint concerning Travascio’s conduct was resolved for $19,000.00 in damages founded on accusations that two risky alternative investments had been recommended by Travascio when he was associated with LPL Financial.
On November 5, 2020, a different customer filed an investment related FINRA securities arbitration claim concerning Travascio’s activities where the customer requested $150,000.00 in damages supported by allegations of their accounts being overconcentrated in four real estate investment trusts. FINRA Arbitration No. 20-03735. The claim contains accusations of the REITs being unsuitable for the customer given their investment portfolio. Travascio is also the subject of a customer initiated investment related complaint which was settled for $8,000.00 in damages on December 2, 2019 based upon allegations of the stockbroker’s poor recommendation of a real estate security to the LPL Financial customer who experienced losses.
Travascio was associated with LPL Financial between May 5, 1999 and December 14, 2018.
