Joseph Chad Zastrow, of Fort Collins, Colorado, a stockbroker currently registered with Thrivent Investment Management Inc., was named in a customer initiated investment related arbitration claim on August 5, 2016, which settled for $2,861.98 in damages based upon allegations that Zastrow failed to retrieve the customer’s information regarding suitability prior to making investment recommendations, and never provided the customer with pertinent disclosures concerning the customer’s annuity.
FINRA Public Disclosure reveals that Zastrow has been named in five additional customer arbitrations concerning allegations of misconduct. Particularly, on October 5, 2007, a customer initiated investment related arbitration claim concerning Zastrow’s actions was resolved for $60,906.00 in damages based upon allegations that Zastrow effected a variable life insurance contract for a customer which was not suitable. On the same day, another customer arbitration was settled for $80,259.35 based upon allegations against Zastrow of effecting unsuitable variable life insurance sales.
On December 18, 2007, another customer initiated investment related arbitration action pertaining to Zastrow’s conduct was settled for $37,500.00 in damages based upon allegations that a variable universal life insurance transaction was not effected in accordance with the customer’s instructions.
Subsequently, on June 7, 2010, a customer initiated investment related arbitration claim regarding Zastrow’s activities was settled for $3,983.67 in damages based upon allegations that Zastrow made misrepresentations to the customer concerning a managed account. On October 27, 2015, another customer filed an investment related arbitration claim concerning Zastrow’s conduct, in which the customer claimed to have been misinformed concerning a variable annuity.\
