Olori Dennis Hamilton, of New York, New York, a stockbroker formerly registered with Woodstock Financial Group, Inc., has been suspended from associating with any Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) member in any capacity based upon allegations that Hamilton did not provide FINRA personnel with information concerning his compliance with a settlement or arbitration award pertaining to a customer initiated investment related dispute that contained allegations of his misconduct. Letter No. 14-03139 (Feb. 24, 2017).
FINRA Public Disclosure reveals that on November 11, 2016, a customer was awarded $352,300.00 in damages according to an investment related arbitration claim involving Hamilton’s misconduct, based upon allegations that Hamilton, while associated with John Carris Investments, LLC, violated Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Rules 10b-5 and 15c3-3, Securities Exchange Act of 1934 Section 20, and Texas Securities Act Section 33. The customer additionally alleged that Hamilton breached his contractual duties, made investment based misrepresentations to the customer, negligently managed the customer’s portfolio, converted the customer’s funds, and defrauded the customer in reference to the customer’s stock investments.
Hamilton was also previously associated with Coastal Equities, Inc., where he was terminated on July 9, 2014, based upon allegations that he impermissibly obtained documents owned by the firm. Since February 8, 2001, Hamilton has been associated with eleven different broker dealers, nine of which have been expelled by securities regulators for violation of federal securities laws or are otherwise defunct. #cockroach
