Robert Edward Wamhoff, from Saint Charles, Missouri, a stockbroker formerly registered with VSR Financial Services, Inc., has been subject to a customer initiated investment related arbitration claim from February 27, 2016, in which the customer alleged that Wamhoff effected unsuitable investments in the customer’s account. Two days prior, another customer filed an investment related arbitration claim concerning Wamhoff’s conduct, based upon allegations that Wamhoff effected unsuitable investments in the customer’s account.
FINRA Public Disclosure reveals that Wamhoff has been subject to five additional customer arbitrations, four of which have been settled. Particularly, on November 16, 2009, a customer initiated investment related arbitration claim was settled for $65,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Wamhoff breached his fiduciary duty to the customer and committed fraud.
On July 26, 2012, another customer initiated investment related arbitration claim concerning Wamhoff’s actions was settled for $22,500.00 in damages based upon allegations that Wahmoff breached his contractual and fiduciary obligations to the customer, and negligently handled the customer’s account.
Further, on July 2, 2013, a customer initiated investment related arbitration action regarding Wamhoff’s conduct was resolved for $30,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Wamhoff effected transactions in the customer’s account which were not suitable. Subsequently, on September 3, 2013, a customer initiated investment related arbitration claim involving Wamhoff’s actions was settled for $6,500.00 in damages based upon allegations including breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, violation of Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) rules, and negligence.
Wamhoff’s registration with VSR Financial Services, Inc. ended in July of 2016. Since then, he has been associated with Calton & Associates, Inc.
