Gerhard Frederick Heuer, of Beaverton, Oregon, a registered representative formerly associated with Thrivent Investment Management Inc., has been named in a customer initiated investment related written complaint, which settled on June 6, 2017, for $43,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that he failed to inform the customer about the premiums required to be paid by the customer to keep an insurance policy in force.
Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Public Disclosure reveals that Heuer has been identified in five additional customer initiated investment related disputes containing allegations of his misconduct while he was employed with Thrivent Investment Management Inc. Particularly, on April 17, 2008, a customer filed an investment related written complaint involving Heuer’s conduct, in which the customer requested $5,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Heuer effected an unauthorized Roth IRA conversion.
Subsequently, on May 22, 2014, a customer initiated investment related written complaint regarding Heuer’s activities was resolved for $28,916.80 in damages based upon allegations that he failed to inform the customer about tax obligations associated with taking annuity distributions to fund the customer’s life insurance policy. Furthermore, on June 30, 2015, a customer initiated investment related written complaint involving Heuer’s conduct was settled for $13,911.00 in damages founded upon allegations that the customer did not consent to a variable annuity surrender.
On April 29, 2016, another customer filed an investment related written complaint concerning Heuer’s activities, where the customer requested $23,596.00 in damages based upon allegations that Heuer failed to properly inform the customer about the terms and conditions of the customer’s variable universal life insurance agreements. Moreover, on September 13, 2016, a customer initiated investment related written complaint involving Heuer’s conduct was settled for $77,258.20 in damages based upon allegations against Heuer of misrepresentation.
Heuer’s registration with Thrivent Investment Management was terminated on January 25, 2016. Since January 19, 2016, he has been registered with Independent Financial Group, LLC.
