Teresa Marie O’Clair of Bismarck North Dakota a stockbroker formerly employed by Capital Financial Services Inc. is referenced in a customer initiated investment related written complaint on June 1, 2017 where the customer sought damages estimated to exceed $5,000.00 based upon accusations that false or misleading statements had been made to the customer concerning the liquidity of a real estate investment trust sold to the customer while O’Clair was associated with Capital Financial Services Inc.
Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Public Disclosure reveals that O’Clair is referenced in three additional customer initiated investment related disputes containing allegations of her misconduct during the period in which she was associated with Capital Financial Services Inc. Specifically, a customer initiated investment related arbitration claim concerning O’Clair’s activities has settled for $22,220.00 in damages supported by accusations that the customer was placed in inappropriate real estate security, promissory note, oil and gas, corporate debt, asset-backed debt, and direct investment products.
Further, on February 9, 2016, a customer filed an investment related complaint concerning O’Clair’s conduct in which the customer requested $53,207.00 in damages founded on allegations of unwarranted poor performance on the real estate investment trust held in the customer’s account; and an investment transaction requested by the customer was not timely effected causing unfounded losses.
Moreover, a customer initiated investment related arbitration claim involving O’Clair’s conduct was resolved for $200,000.00 in damages based upon accusations that speculative and inappropriate alternative investments, including DBSI real estate securities, were executed in customers’ accounts. O’Clair’s registration with Capital Financial Services Inc. has been terminated as of May 17, 2019. Since then, she has been registered with Calton Associates Inc.
