Somboun Thao (also known as Som Thao), of Madison, Wisconsin, a stockbroker registered with MML Investors Services LLC, has been barred from associating with any Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) member in any capacity because Thao failed to respond to FINRA’s request for information. Letter No. 2022074049801 (February 6, 2023).
On November 2, 2022, FINRA initiated an enforcement action against broker Thao. Notice of Suspension and Suspension from Association letters were sent to the stockbroker on November 2, 2022, and November 28, 2022, respectively. Thao did not appeal or request the termination of his suspension within the three-month window after receiving the Notice of Suspension, leading to his automatic bar in all capacities.
Thao was associated with MML Investors Services LLC as a stockbroker from April 30, 2019, to September 3, 2021. He was associated with Pruco Securities LLC as a stockbroker from September 23, 2021, to February 7, 2022. On January 28, 2022, Pruco Securities LLC permitted Thao to resign based upon allegations that Thao submitted documents with unauthentic customer signatures.
