Shannon Marie Powers (also known as Shannon Catuogno and Shannon Solomon), of Ridgefield, Washington, a stockbroker registered with Western International Securities Inc., is the subject of a customer initiated investment related Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) securities arbitration claim in which the customer requested $100,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Powers was negligent and breached her fiduciary duties in connection with the sale of GWG Holdings Class L corporate bonds when Powers was associated with Western International Securities Inc. FINRA Arbitration No. 23-02139 (August 2, 2023).

This is not the first time that Powers has been referenced in a customer initiated investment related dispute concerning Powers’ conduct in the securities industry. FINRA Public Disclosure shows that Powers is also referenced in a customer initiated investment related complaint filed on September 13, 2006, in which the customer requested compensatory damages based on allegations that Powers made misrepresentations of material fact about variable and fixed annuities during the time that Powers was associated with Wells Fargo Investments LLC.

On October 1, 2023, a FINRA securities arbitration claim involving Powers’ conduct was settled for $45,897.67 in damages based on allegations that Powers made unsuitable recommendations and made misrepresentations in connection with the sale of corporate bonds when Powers was associated with Western International Securities Inc. FINRA Arbitration No. 22-02276.

Powers has been associated with Innovation Partners LLC in Charlotte, North Carolina, since December 5, 2023. She has been associated with IP Financial Advisory Services LLC in Ridgefield, Washington, since December 5, 2023.

Powers was associated with Western International Securities in Ridgefield, Washington, from November 8, 2012, to December 1, 2023.
