Rodney Lee Boelter (also known as Rod Boelter), of Scottsdale, Arizona, a stockbroker formerly registered with MSI Financial Services Inc., is the subject of four customer disputes, with some resulting in settlements and others denied.
Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Public Disclosure shows that one customer initiated investment related complaint was filed on June 13, 2024, with allegations regarding a variable annuity sold in 2010. The customer claimed that Boelter made omissions of material fact and presented misleading information. MSI Financial Services Inc. denied the claim, and no damages were awarded. Another customer initiated investment related complaint, filed on April 13, 2020, alleged that Boelter failed to execute transactions as instructed, resulting in a loss. The dispute was settled for $1,300.
A different customer initiated investment related complaint filed on July 24, 2009, against AXA Advisors, LLC alleged that a customer’s retirement account was improperly invested in stocks and was incorrectly categorized as a non-retirement account. The customers sought $174,000 in damages. The firm reviewed the claim and denied it.
Another customer initiated investment related complaint, received on June 22, 2009, alleged that Boelter made misrepresentations of material fact in connection with the sale of variable annuities, leading the customer to believe there was no risk of loss. The customer claimed $40,000 in damages, and the case was settled for $15,000. On the same date, another complaint alleged that Boelter misrepresented an investment account as the safest option available, but the account declined in value. This dispute also settled for $15,000.
Boelter was associated with MML Investors Services, LLC in Scottsdale, Arizona, from March 2017 to August 2021, and MSI Financial Services Inc. from February 2014 to March 2017. Since August 2021, he has been registered with Osaic Wealth Inc.
