Jason Scott Tinklenberg, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, a registered representative currently associated with Purshe Kaplan Sterling Investments, is the subject of a customer initiated investment related arbitration claim, in which the customer requested $256,527.00 in damages founded on allegations that fixed annuities and whole life insurance contracts were inappropriately sold to the customer. Case No. AAA-01-16-0002-7432 (July 20, 2016).
FINRA Public Disclosure reveals that Tinklenberg has been identified in three additional customer initiated investment related disputes concerning accusations of his wrongdoing while associated with American General Securities, Inc. Particularly, on January 22, 2008, a customer filed an investment related complaint involving Tinklenberg’s conduct, where the customer sought $9,000.00 in damages based upon allegations of misrepresentation regarding a customer’s variable universal life insurance policy purchase.
Subsequently, on July 8, 2008, a customer filed an investment related written complaint regarding Tinklenberg’s activities, in which the customer requested $15,989.00 in damages supported by accusations that Tinklenberg made omissions to the customer regarding surrender penalties as well as the fluctuations in the cash value of a customer’s insurance policy. Then, on December 28, 2016, a customer filed an investment related arbitration claim regarding Tinklenberg’s conduct, where the customer sought $282,791.00 in damages based upon allegations that a variable universal life insurance policy purchased for the customer was not suitable. Case No. AAA-01-16-003-8631 (Dec. 28, 2016).
