Myles William Easter, of West Des Moines, Iowa, a stockbroker registered with Bankers Life Securities Inc., was the subject of a customer initiated investment related Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) securities arbitration claim in which the customer was awarded $30,000.00 in compensatory damages because Easter was held liable on the customer’s claims which included that Easter made misrepresentations of material fact in connection with the sale of annuities during the time that Easter was associated with Bankers Life Securities Inc. FINRA Arbitration No. 21-01192 (January 28, 2022).

FINRA Public Disclosure shows that Easter is referenced in three other customer initiated investment related disputes concerning Easter’s conduct while associated with securities broker dealers. On September 10, 2019, a customer initiated investment related complaint involving Easter’s conduct was settled for $17,125.00 in damages based upon allegations that Easter misrepresented the terms of an annuity when Easter was associated with Bankers Life and Casualty Company and Bankers Life Securities Inc.

On March 24, 2020, another customer filed an investment related complaint involving Easter’s conduct in which the customer requested $95,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Easter made the unsuitable investment recommendation of equity-indexed annuities. The complaint alleged that the variable annuity the customer surrendered to purchase BLC annuities offered more guaranteed income and benefits than the new annuity purchased after surrendering the BLC annuities.

Easter was also referenced in a customer complaint filed on October 27, 2020, in which the customer requested $12,500.00 in damages based upon allegations that Easter made the unsuitable investment recommendation of equity-indexed annuities. The complaint alleged that the customer was told to roll over existing investments to purchase a Guaranteed Lifetime Income Annuity (GLIA) in 2020. According to the complaint, the customer was not made aware she would only have access to ten percent of her invested funds as a penalty-free withdrawal during the first twelve months. The customer withdrew her complaint.

Easter has been associated with Bankers Life Securities Inc. in West Des Moines, Iowa, since June 14, 2018, and Bankers Life Advisory Services Inc. in West Des Moines, Iowa, since January 9, 2024.
