Michael Robert Boswell of Gaithersburg Maryland a stockbroker currently employed by Tripoint Global Equities LLC is the subject of a customer initiated investment related civil action brought in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York which was settled for $400,000.00 founded on allegations that there was a lack of due diligence conducted on the private placement investments sold to the customer between December of 2015 and March 2016 while Boswell was associated with Tripoint Global Equities LLC. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Public Disclosure confirms that another customer filed an investment related civil action involving Boswell’s conduct where the customers collectively sought $1,500,000.00 in damages based upon accusations that Boswell and the firm failed to undertake adequate due diligence on private placements that the customers purchased; and there was a lack of disclosures made to the customers concerning the commissions charged on their investment transactions.
