Kwame Adusei, of Poughkeepsie, New York, a stockbroker associated with Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM), was permitted to resign on July 24, 2023. This resignation was based on a customer alleging that Adusei encouraged her to take part in an outside residential property investment. The customer reportedly claimed that Adusei conducted “unauthorized trading” in her Morgan Stanley account and had access to her online account login information.
FINRA Public Disclosure shows that Adusei is also referenced in a customer initiated investment related complaint that was settled on September 6, 2023, for $395,710.21 in damages. The complaint alleged unauthorized withdrawals from the customer’s accounts between September 1, 2022, and February 3, 2023, while Adusei was associated with Morgan Stanley.
Adusei was associated with Morgan Stanley in Poughkeepsie, New York, from January 14, 2022, to August 7, 2023. Prior to that, he was associated with J.P. Morgan Securities LLC in Brewster, New York, from April 20, 2015, to January 15, 2022.
