Jeffrey Lamar Burton of Greenville South Carolina a stockbroker currently employed by Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network is referenced in a customer initiated investment related written complaint which was resolved on November 5, 2019 for $1,550,00.00 on November 5, 2019 supported by allegations that (1) the customer was charged excessive commissions on trades executed in the customer’s account during the time that Burton was associated with Wells Fargo Advisors and (2) GNMA bonds and other investments failed to be suitable given the customer’s objectives or circumstances.
Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Public Disclosure reveals that Burton is referenced in five additional customer initiated investment related disputes containing accusations of his violative conduct during the period in which he was associated with UBS Financial Services Inc. Specifically, a customer initiated investment related arbitration claim regarding Burton’s conduct was settled for $600,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that the stockbroker’s options trades were inappropriate and lacked supervision by UBS Financial Services resulting in the customer’s losses.

Also, a customer initiated investment related arbitration claim involving Burton’s activities was settled for $105,000.00 in damages supported by allegations of the failure to supervise the stockbroker’s options trades. In addition, a customer initiated investment related arbitration claim concerning Burton’s conduct was resolved for $27,500.00 in damages based upon accusations that the customer sustained losses because of Burton’s failure to reasonably supervise a stockbroker who made bad options trades.
Burton’s registration with UBS Financial Services was terminated on April 4, 2016. Since March 24, 2016, he has been registered with Wells Fargo Advisers.
