James Hal Heafner (also known as Jim Heafner) of Charlotte North Carolina a stockbroker formerly registered with Taylor Capital Management Inc and former investment adviser representative of Retirement Wealth Advisors is the subject of a customer initiated investment related arbitration claim in which the customer requested $268,015.79 in damages founded on allegations that (1) inappropriate debt instruments in 1st Global Capital LLC had been recommended and ultimately issued to the customer on September 29, 2017 while Heafner was associated with TCM Securities Inc. and (2) TCM Securities Inc. failed to supervise Heafner’s outside business activities concerning government debt transactions. FINRA Public Disclosure additionally reveals that a customer filed an investment related arbitration claim regarding Heafner’s conduct where the customer sought $130,000.00 in damages supported by accusations that Heafner made unsuitable or unauthorized recommendations concerning the customers investment an unregistered security, 1st Global Capital, LLC, especially given the customer’s objectives for investing; and that the firm neglected to supervise Heafner’s activities concerning 1st Global Capital, LLC investment transactions. Moreover, Heafner has been discharged from his investment adviser employer, Retirement Wealth Advisors, on August 31, 2018 based upon allegations that Heafner engaged in outside business activities in violation of the firm’s procedures and policies. Heafner’s registration with Taylor Capital Management Inc. was terminated on January 22, 2018.
