Robert J. Murray, of New York, New York, a stockbroker formerly registered with Spartan Capital Securities LLC, has been named in a customer initiated investment related arbitration claim on December 22, 2016, in which the customer requested $374,839.00 in damages based upon allegations that Murray converted the customer’s funds, effected unsuitable and excessive over-the-counter equity and stock transactions in the customer’s account, and charged the customer with excessive commissions.
Murray’s registration with Spartan Capital Securities, LLC was terminated on August 4, 2016. He became registered with Joseph Stone Capital L.L.C. on July 8, 2016. Since December 4, 1998, Murray has been associated with eight different broker dealers, six of which have been expelled by securities regulators for violation of federal securities laws or are otherwise defunct. #cockroach
