On October 6, 2022, a customer initiated investment related FINRA securities arbitration claim involving Miles’s conduct was settled for $90,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Miles failed to perform due diligence on conservation easement investments between December of 2015 and November of 2017 during the period that Miles was associated with The Strategic Financial Alliance Inc. Miles is also referenced in a customer initiated investment related FINRA securities arbitration claim in which the customer requested $700,000.00 in damages based upon alleged negligence, violation of Florida securities laws, unsuitable recommendations, breach of fiduciary duties, misrepresentations and omissions of material facts, aiding and abetting of fraud, negligent supervision, and breach of contract in connection with the sale of conservation easement investments. The claim also alleged that Green Vista Capital was negligent in the hiring, retention, and supervision of the stockbroker’s activities in the customer’s account.
