Anthony George Makransky (also known as Tony Makransky), of League City, Texas, a stockbroker registered with LPL Financial LLC, is the subject of a customer initiated investment related Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) securities arbitration claim in which the customer requested $500,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Makransky made unsuitable investment recommendations and misrepresentations of material fact about life insurance products, variable annuities, and structured products during the time that Makransky was associated with Ameriprise Financial Services LLC. FINRA Arbitration No. 23-03090 (October 23, 2023).

This is not the first time that Makransky has been referenced in a customer initiated investment related dispute concerning Makransky’s conduct in the securities industry. FINRA Public Disclosure shows that Makransky was also referenced in a customer initiated investment related complaint that was settled on June 9, 2009, for $325,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Makransky failed to inform the customer about features and risks of municipal bonds and auction rate securities when Makransky was associated with Banc of America Investment Services Inc.

Makransky was also referenced in a customer initiated investment related complaint filed on June 13, 2023, in which the customer requested $5,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Makransky made unsuitable recommendations to the customer about annuities during the period that Makransky was associated with Ameriprise Financial Services LLC. However, the firm denied this complaint.

Makransky has been associated with LPL Financial LLC in League City, Texas since April 6, 2023. He was associated with Ameriprise Financial Services LLC in Houston, Texas from November 28, 2008, to April 11, 2023.
