Yuhong Zhou of Radnor Pennsylvania a former Transamerica Financial Advisors Inc. broker has been barred from associating with any Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) member in any capacity based upon allegations that Zhou failed to provide FINRA with information in regard to his business activities. Case No. 2018056902801 (June 11, 2018).
FINRA Public Disclosure reveals that it sent Zhou a April 2, 2018 Suspension of Association letter after he initially failed to cooperate with a FINRA personal inquiry. Apparently, Zhou was warned that his failure to cooperate could result in the suspension transitioning to a bar from the securities industry. FINRA reportedly provided Zhou until June 10, 2018 to provide the information requested of him. Ultimately, Zhou failed to respond in time so he was automatically barred on June 11, 2018.
FINRA Public Disclosure further confirms that on September 15, 2017 – less than six months before FINRA suspended Zhou – he had been terminated from Transamerica Financial Advisors. Zhou was apparently investigated by the firm’s affiliate, World Financial Group Insurance Agency, in reference to Zhou’s sales practices involving fixed annuities. Ultimately, after the investigation was completed, Zhou was discharged by World Financial Group Insurance Agency on November 20, 2017.
