Mickey Long of Plano, Texas, a stockbroker formerly registered with VSR Financial Services, Inc., is the subject of a customer initiated investment related written complaint on March 27, 2017, in which the customer sought $94,438.49 in damages founded on allegations of negligence, breach of fiduciary duty, suitability and misrepresentation concerning the customer’s real estate security, oil & gas, and direct investment product purchases effected between 2002 and 2014.
Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Public Disclosure confirms that Long has been identified in fourteen customer initiated investment related disputes containing allegations of Long’s misconduct while employed with VSR Financial Services, Inc. and Dominion Capital Corp; four since his October 4, 2016 suspension by the Texas State Securities Board for making unsuitable investment alternative investment recommendations to customers. In the Matter of the Investment Adviser Representative Registration and the Agent Registration of MF Long II, Order No. REG16-SUS-3 (Oct. 4, 2016).
Particularly, on October 27, 2016, a customer filed an investment related written complaint regarding Long’s activities, alleging that the customer’s assets were over-concentrated in illiquid real estate securities that were not suitable for the customer. Subsequently, on November 11, 2016, a customer filed an investment related arbitration claim involving Long’s conduct, where the customer requested $838,389.00 in damages based upon accusations of suitability concerning oil & gas products and real estate securities.
Further, a customer filed an investment related arbitration claim involving Long’s conduct, in which the customer sought $149,200.92 in damages supported by allegations that Long effected real estate securities, oil & gas and direct investment product transactions that were misrepresented and failed to be suitable for the customer. FINRA Arbitration No. 16-03551 (Dec. 6, 2016).
