Tammie Lyn Farrell (also known as Tammie Burk and Tammie Brown), of Franklin, North Carolina, a stockbroker registered with Capital Investment Group Inc., is the subject of a customer initiated investment related Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) securities arbitration claim in which the customer requested $100,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Farrell committed fraud, breached a contract, was negligent, and breached her fiduciary duties in connection with the recommendation and sale of direct investments during the time that Farrell was associated with Capital Investment Group Inc. FINRA Arbitration No. 23-00403 (February 16, 2023). The claim also alleges negligent supervision by the securities broker dealer.

This is not the first time that Farrell has been referenced in a customer initiated investment related dispute concerning Farrell’s conduct in the securities industry. FINRA Public Disclosure shows that Farrell is also referenced in a customer initiated investment related FINRA securities arbitration claim in which the customer requested $145,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Farrell provided unsuitable advice in connection with the recommendation of GWG Holdings, LP a during the period Farrell was associated with Capital Investment Group Inc. FINRA Arbitration No. 22-02311 (October 11, 2022).

On October 28, 2022, a customer filed an investment related FINRA securities arbitration claim involving Farrell’s conduct in which the customer requested $270,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Farrell made unsuitable recommendations of GWG Holdings Inc. investments. FINRA Arbitration No. 22-02467.

All three claims as of September 6, 2023 are pending.

Farrell has been associated with Capital Investment Group Inc. as a stockbroker and as an investment advisor representative since October 9, 2012.
