Stuart Horowitz, of Coral Springs, Florida, a stockbroker formerly registered with Kestra Investment Services, has been named in a customer initiated investment related arbitration claim, where the customer sought $70,000.00 in damages based upon allegations including the failure to conduct diligence on private placement investments; fraud; unsuitable investment recommendations; and the failure to supervise Horowitz’s activities concerning the customer’s investment transactions. FINRA Arbitration No. 17-00984 (Apr. 18, 2017).
FINRA Public Disclosure additionally reveals that Horowitz has been identified in forty more customer initiated investment related disputes alleging allegations of Horowitz’s misconduct while associated with NFP Advisor Services, LLC, Securities America, Commonwealth Financial Network; three since October 31, 2016. Specifically, he has been subject of a customer initiated investment related arbitration claim, which settled for $22,000.00 based upon allegations of misrepresentation of two real estate investment trusts sales. FINRA Arbitration No. 16-02569 (July 10, 2017).
Thereafter, a customer brought an investment related arbitration claim, requesting $100,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Horowitz made unsuitable investment recommendations to the customer in reference to illiquid and speculative investments. In addition, the customer alleged that commissions charged on variable annuity investments were excessive; fiduciary and contractual obligations owed to the customer were breached; and that Horowitz’s activities were not supervised properly by the firm.
