Stephen R. Mihalek of Mentor, Ohio, a stockbroker registered with J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, was the subject of a customer initiated investment related complaint that was settled on April 25, 2024, for $45,300.49 in damages based upon allegations that Mihalek engaged in unauthorized trading when Mihalek was associated with J.P. Morgan Securities LLC.
This is not the first time that Mihalek has been referenced in a customer initiated investment related dispute concerning Mihalek’s conduct in the securities industry. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Public Disclosure shows that Mihalek was also referenced in a customer initiated investment related complaint filed on June 7, 2008, in which the customer requested $6,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Mihalek made unsuitable recommendations in mutual funds when Mihalek was associated with Chase Investment Services Corp. The complaint was denied.
Mihalek was also referenced in a complaint filed on March 7, 2014, in which the customer requested $88,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Mihalek made unsuitable recommendations for the customer’s managed account during the time that Mihalek was associated with J.P. Morgan Securities LLC. The securities broker dealer also denied this complaint.
Mihalek was associated with J.P. Morgan Securities LLC in Mentor, Ohio from October 1, 2012, to January 14, 2024. He has been associated with Morgan Stanley in Pepper Pike, Ohio since January 12, 2024.
