What does the Whitney Bank or JC Whitney have to do with Salomon Brothers or Salomon Smith Barney? What does a Salomon or a Whitney have to do with Johnny Prinzivalli from Long Island?
Nothing. But Salomon Whitney Financial is a brokerage firm with a fancy sounding name located lovely Farmingdale, New York, and founded by a Thomas Diamante, whom himself appears to have been associated with eight securities broker-dealers who have been expelled by regulators or are otherwise defunct, and John Vincent Prinzivalli used to work for Salomon Whitney Financial.
Prinzivalli’s registration with Salomon Whitney LLC was terminated on August 24, 2012. Since August 24, 2012, he has been registered with Cape Securities Inc.
However, Salomon Whitney LLC, has been named in a customer initiated investment related arbitration claim in which the customer requested $130,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Prinzivalli made unsuitable investment recommendations, churned the customer’s account, and utilized high pressure sales tactics with the customer pertaining to equity transactions.
Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Public Disclosure also reveals that on October 1, 2011, a customer initiated investment related arbitration claim involving Prinzivalli’s conduct was settled for $40,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Prinzivalli, while employed with J.P. Turner & Company LLC, breached his fiduciary duties, effected unsuitable transactions, made misrepresentations to the customer, churned the customer’s account, and committed fraud in reference to over-the-counter equity transactions.
