Robert Wesley Turley of New Port Richey, Florida, a stockbroker registered with Independent Financial Group LLC, was the subject of a customer initiated investment related FINRA securities arbitration claim that was settled for $26,500.00 in damages based upon allegations that Turley made unsuitable recommendations of non-traded REITs when Turley was registered with Independent Financial Group LLC. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Arbitration No. 21-00830 (March 21, 2023).

FINRA Public Disclosure shows that Turley is referenced in three other customer initiated investment related disputes concerning Turley’s conduct while registered with securities broker dealers, including Sentra Securities Corporation. On August 11, 2005, a customer filed an investment related complaint involving Turley’s conduct in which the customer requested compensatory damages based upon allegations that Turley led the customer to believe that there would not be a premium on an insurance rider for a fixed annuity when Turley was registered with Sentra Securities Corporation. The securities broker dealer denied the complaint.

On February 4, 2021, a customer initiated investment related FINRA securities arbitration claim involving Turley’s conduct was settled for $10,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Turley made unsuitable recommendations of REITs when Turley was registered with Independent Financial Group LLC. FINRA Arbitration No. 19-03410. The claim alleges that the recommendations conflicted with the customer’s risk tolerance.

Turley is also referenced in a customer initiated investment related FINRA securities arbitration claim that was settled for $50,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Turley made unsuitable recommendations of non-traded REITs when Turley was registered with Independent Financial Group LLC. FINRA Arbitration No. 21-02192 (February 23, 2023).

Turley has been registered with Independent Financial Group LLC as a stockbroker since June 13, 2005.
