Robert John Sawyer (also known as Bob Sawyer) of Gulfport, Mississippi, a stockbroker registered with Stifel Independent Advisors LLC, is the subject of a customer initiated investment related civil action filed in Mississippi State Court in Harrison County in which the customer requested over $5,000.00 in estimated damages based upon allegations that Sawyer breached a contract, was negligent, breached his fiduciary duties, converted funds, committed fraud, caused the customer a loss of investment opportunity, and made misrepresentations of material fact in connection with the sale of securities while Sawyer was associated with Stifel Independent Advisors LLC. Civil Action No. A2401-2023-121 (July 18, 2023).

This is not the first time that Sawyer has been referenced in a customer initiated investment related dispute concerning Sawyer’s conduct in the securities industry. FINRA Public Disclosure shows that Sawyer was also referenced in a customer initiated investment related complaint filed on February 27, 2007, in which the customer requested $36,646.90 in damages based upon allegations that Sawyer charged excessive fees in the customer’s account when Sawyer was associated with Century Securities Associates Inc. This complaint was denied.

Sawyer has been associated with Stifel Independent Advisors LLC in Gulfport, Mississippi as a stockbroker since March 3, 2006, and as an investment advisor representative since August 7, 2006.
