Robert Wyla Melberth (also known as Rob Melberth), of Sarasota, Florida, a stockbroker registered with Emerson Equity LLC, is the subject of a customer initiated investment related Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) securities arbitration claim in which the customer requested $3,276,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Melberth committed fraud, violated state securities laws, breached a contract, was negligent, violated FINRA rules, and breached his fiduciary duties in connection with the sale of corporate bonds during the time that Melberth was associated with Emerson Equity LLC. On July 1, 2022, a customer filed an investment related FINRA securities arbitration claim involving Melberth’s conduct in which the customer requested $2,100,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Melberth was negligent and breached a contract and breached his fiduciary duties in connection with the recommendation and sale of corporate bonds when Melberth was associated with Emerson Equity LLC. On September 23, 2022, a customer filed an investment related FINRA securities arbitration claim involving Melberth’s conduct in which the customer requested $728,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Melberth violated federal securities laws, breached his fiduciary duties, breached a contract, committed fraud, and was negligent in connection with the sale of corporate bonds. Melberth is also referenced in a customer initiated investment related FINRA securities arbitration claim in which the customer requested $2,452,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Melberth breached his fiduciary duties, made unsuitable recommendations, and failed to perform due diligence on alternative investments during the time that Melberth was associated with Aegis Capital Corp. On September 28, 2022, a customer filed an investment related FINRA securities arbitration claim involving Melberth’s conduct in which the customer requested $555,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Melberth breached a contract, committed fraud, failed to perform due diligence, and made unsuitable recommendations of alternative investments when Melberth was associated with Aegis Capital Corp. Melberth is also referenced in a customer initiated investment related FINRA securities arbitration claim in which the customer requested $3,000,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Melberth committed fraud, was negligent, breached a contract, and breached his fiduciary duties in connection with the sale of alternative investments. Melberth was associated with Emerson Equity LLC as a stockbroker from July 22, 2020, to April 10, 2023.
