Peter David Schiff of Newport Beach California a stockbroker currently registered with AGP Alliance Global Partners is the subject of a customer initiated investment related FINRA securities arbitration claim which was settled for $45,000.00 in damages founded upon accusations of breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty as it pertained to private placements sold to the customer by Schiff while he was employed by Euro Pacific Capital (now known as AGP). Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Arbitration No. 21-00479 (August 9, 2021).
According to the claim, misrepresentations were made regarding the private placements. The claim alleges that the securities broker dealer failed to supervise Schiff between February of 2015 and February of 2021, resulting in unsuitable transactions.
Schiff has been identified in four additional customer initiated investment related disputes regarding allegations of Schiff’s wrongdoing when he was registered with AGP Alliance Global Partners. FINRA Public Disclosure shows that a customer initiated investment related complaint involving Schiff’s activities was settled for $25,000.00 in damages based on accusations of the customer receiving unsuitable advice concerning foreign equities during the time that he was registered with Euro Pacific Capital.
Another customer initiated investment related FINRA securities arbitration claim involving Schiff’s conduct was settled for $14,950.00 in damages supported by allegations of the customer being sold unsuitable foreign equities by someone under Schiff’s control at Euro Pacific Capital.
On May 27, 2021, a different customer initiated investment related FINRA securities arbitration claim regarding Schiff’s activities was settled for $60,000.00 in damages founded upon accusations that omissions and misrepresentations were made concerning the risks of private placements sold to the customer. FINRA Arbitration No. 19-00961. The claim alleges that the customer was placed into securities that were not suitable for them.
