Lynn Witherspoon Bryant (also known as Deborah Lynn Bryant), of Hurst, Texas, a stockbroker registered with LPL Financial LLC, has been barred from associating with any Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) member in any capacity because Bryant failed to testify during the time that FINRA investigated the stockbroker for possible violations of FINRA rules during the time that she was associated with LPL Financial. Letter of Acceptance, Waiver, and Consent No. 2022076505601 (July 18, 2023).
On October 7, 2022, LPL Financial reported that they had terminated Bryant’s registration with them. The stockbroker allegedly conducted private security transactions with customers without permission from the company.
Then, on June 27, 2023, FINRA asked Bryant to testify before FINRA personnel. This was part of FINRA’s investigation to determine if Bryant had indeed conducted these private security transactions without the necessary advance permission from the securities broker dealer.
Bryant, through her legal representative, acknowledged receiving this request on July 5, 2023, but stated she would not provide the requested testimony. By declining to give this testimony, Bryant violated FINRA Rules 2010 and 8210.
Bryant was registered with LPL Financial LLC as a stockbroker from October 24, 2007, to October 7, 2022
