Leon Michael Almeida of Paramus New Jersey a stockbroker currently registered with MML Investors Services (also known as MetLife) is referenced in a customer initiated investment related complaint on August 16, 2019 in which the customer sought damages estimated to exceed $5,000.00 based upon allegations that false or misleading statements had been made in regard to a variable annuity sold to the customer in 2016 when the stockbroker was employed by MML Investors Services.
FINRA Public Disclosure confirms that Almeida is the subject of three more customer initiated investment related disputes which pertain to accusations of his misconduct when he was associated with MML investors Services LLC (MetLife). Specifically, a customer initiated investment related complaint concerning Almeida’s conduct was settled for $24,394.53 in damages based on allegations that the customer was provided bad advice about purchasing a real estate investment trust or other direct investment which was unsuitable for the customer.
On January 14, 2019, another customer filed an investment related complaint involving Almeida’s activities where the customer requested damages estimated to exceed $5,000.00 supported by accusations of false or misleading statements being made about the variable annuities that Almeida sold. Almeida is also the subject of a customer initiated investment related complaint filed on March 20, 2019 in which the customer sought damages estimated to exceed $5,000.00 founded on allegations of Almeida selling an AIG issued annuity which was in no way appropriate given the customer’s needs, objectives or overall circumstances.
Almeida has been registered with MML Investors Services since March 25, 2017.
