James William Flower, of Melville, New York, a stockbroker formerly registered with Laidlaw & Company (UK) Ltd., has been named in a customer initiated investment related written complaint, which settled on November 12, 2015 for $45,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Flower effected unsuitable equity transactions and churned the customer’s investment account.
Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Public Disclosure reveals that Flower has been named in two additional customer initiated investment related customer disputes concerning allegations of his misconduct while employed with Prestige Financial Center, Inc. and J.P. Turner & Company L.L.C. Particularly, on April 27, 2006, a customer filed an investment related complaint involving Flower’s conduct, in which the customer requested $21,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Flower failed to execute the customer’s stop loss order pertaining to an over-the-counter equity.
Additionally, on June 17, 2011, a customer initiated investment related arbitration claim involving Flower’s conduct was settled for $67,500.00 in damages based upon allegations that Flowers made misrepresentations to the customer concerning the risks and features of exchanged traded funds, misrepresented the nature of margin use in the customer’s account, and did not abide by the customer’s instructions regarding a stop loss order.
Since September 9, 1997, Flower has been associated with sixteen different broker dealers, fourteen of which have been expelled by securities regulators for violation of federal securities laws or are otherwise defunct. #cockroach Flower’s registration with Laidlaw & Company (UK) Ltd. ended on December 14, 2015. Since December 1, 2015, Flower has been registered with Salomon Whitney Financial.
