Keith Harold Offel, a stockbroker registered with Cambridge Investment Research Inc. in Placentia, California, was the subject of a customer initiated investment related complaint filed on September 7, 2023. The customer requested $70,224.00 in damages based upon allegations that Offel supposedly failed to follow the customer’s “conservative” investment objectives during the time that Offel was associated with Cambridge Investment Research Inc., resulting in losses in municipal bonds and stocks.  The complaint was denied.

FINRA Public Disclosure additionally reveals that Offel faced a customer complaint filed on July 16, 2012. In this instance, customers alleged they were misled about an investment in gold, claiming negligence and breach of fiduciary duty by Offel while associated with Cambridge Investment Research Inc.. The complaint was closed with no further action taken by the customer as of August 14, 2012.

On May 28, 2004, Offel was the subject of a customer initiated investment related arbitration claim where the customer alleged unsuitable investment recommendations, breach of fiduciary duty, and negligence in connection with the sale of variable annuities during the time that Offel was associated with Money Concepts Capital Corp. NASD Arbitration No. 04-03511. The case was settled on April 30, 2005, for $150,000.00 in damages.

Offel has been registered with Cambridge Investment Research Inc. in Placentia, California, since April 28, 2011, as a stockbroker and investment advisor representative.
