Jeffrey Max Cohen of Henderson, Nevada, a stockbroker registered with Moloney Securities Co. Inc., has been barred from associating with any Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) member in any capacity because Cohen failed to provide information and documents to FINRA when it investigated possible violations of FINRA rules. Letter of Acceptance, Waiver, and Consent No. 2020067277901 (June 5, 2023).

According to the AWC on November 30, 2021, Moloney Securities Co. Inc. informed FINRA that Cohen’s stockbroker registration had been terminated based on allegations that Cohen sold securities in one of his previous outside business activities or selling away without approval.

FINRA was investigating Cohen’s activities in the sale of securities mentioned in an arbitration. The AWC stated that on March 20, 2023, FINRA asked Cohen for documents and information. By April 10, 2023, Cohen’s lawyer confirmed through an email and phone call to the regulator that Cohen had received the request but would not provide the requested documents or information. By refusing to cooperate with the investigation, Cohen violated FINRA Rules 2010 and 8210.

FINRA Public Disclosure shows that Cohen is referenced in nine customer initiated investment related disputes concerning Cohen’s conduct while registered with securities broker dealers, including Moloney Securities Co. Inc. On February 4, 2021, a customer initiated investment related FINRA securities arbitration claim involving Cohen’s conduct was settled for $125,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Cohen made unsuitable recommendations of direct investments when Cohen was registered with Moloney Securities Co. Inc. FINRA Arbitration No. 20-00650.

On March 2, 2021, a customer initiated investment related FINRA securities arbitration claim involving Cohen’s conduct was settled for $95,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Cohen provided unsuitable investment advice. FINRA Arbitration No. 20-01179.

Cohen is also referenced in a Moloney Securities Co. Inc customer initiated investment related FINRA securities arbitration claim that was settled for $350,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Cohen made unsuitable recommendations of direct investments. FINRA Arbitration No. 20-02070 (September 15, 2021).

On November 8, 2022, a customer initiated investment related FINRA securities arbitration claim involving Cohen’s conduct was settled for $80,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Cohen recommended unsuitable alternative investments. FINRA Arbitration No. 21-01313.

Cohen is also referenced in a customer initiated investment related FINRA securities arbitration claim that was settled for $200,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Cohen made unsuitable recommendations and misrepresentations of material fact in connection with the sale of investments when Cohen was registered with Western International Securities Inc. FINRA Arbitration No. 21-02946 (February 9, 2023).

Cohen was registered with Moloney Securities Co. Inc. between stockbroker July 31, 2015, and November 30, 2021.
