Janine Marie Ruland (also known as Janine Marie Roupe and as Janine Salvadalena) a stockbroker currently registered with NYLife Securities Inc. is referenced in a customer initiated investment related written complaint on September 29, 2020 in which the customer sought more than $5,000.00 in damages founded on allegations that the customer had been provided with false information concerning the contribution of funds to a variable universal life insurance policy for tax free growth.
This is not the first time that Ruland’s sales practices have been questioned by customers of NYLife. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Public Disclosure also reveals that on November 5, 2018, a customer filed an investment related complaint regarding Ruland’s activities where the customer requested unspecified damages based upon accusations that the customer had been provided with unsuitable recommendations from Ruland during the period that the stockbroker was associated with NYLife. The claim indicates that the customer was inappropriately told to move assets from a 401(k) into a managed exchange traded fund account.
Ruland has been registered as a stockbroker of NYLife since July 18, 2005 and registered with Eagle Strategies LLC as an investment adviser representative since February 3, 2017.
