Eric Brian Kleiner of New York, New York, a stockbroker registered with Morgan Stanley, is the subject of a customer initiated investment related complaint filed on July 13, 2023. The customer requested $300,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Kleiner made unsuitable investment recommendations in exchange traded funds when Kleiner was associated with Morgan Stanley. The complaint is currently pending.
This is not the first time that Kleiner has been referenced in a customer initiated investment related dispute concerning Kleiner’s conduct in the securities industry. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Public Disclosure shows that Kleiner was also referenced in a customer initiated investment related complaint filed on June 25, 2008, in which the customer requested $7,500.00 in damages resulting from fees and tax consequences on the sale of over-the-counter equities and mutual funds during the time that Kleiner was associated with Wachovia Securities LLC. This complaint was denied.
Kleiner was also the subject of a customer initiated investment related FINRA securities arbitration claim in which the customer was awarded $90,000.00 in compensation because Wells Fargo Advisors LLC was held liable for sales practice violations. FINRA Arbitration No. 09-03489 (July 12, 2010). The Statement of Claim alleged fraud, omissions and misrepresentations, unsuitable recommendations, negligence, breach of fiduciary duty, and breach of contract in connection with the sale of mutual funds when Kleiner was associated with Wells Fargo Advisors.
Kleiner has been registered with Morgan Stanley, in New York, New York, since September 9, 2016.
