David Charles Turetzky of New York, New York, a stockbroker formerly registered with Morgan Stanley, was identified in a customer initiated investment related FINRA securities arbitration claim which was settled for $390,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Turetzky failed to supervise a stockbroker’s management of investment accounts at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Arbitration No. 20-02037 (December 14, 2021).
FINRA Public Disclosure shows that Turetzky has been identified in four additional customer initiated investment related disputes concerning his activities while registered with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney and Ameriprise Financial Services. On November 20, 2018, a FINRA securities arbitration claim involving Turetzky’s conduct was settled for $1,200,000.00 in damages based upon accusations of Turetzky’s failure to supervise a customer’s account in connection with government bond transactions.
On December 3, 2020, a different customer filed an investment related arbitration claim regarding Turetzky’s activities where the customer sought $500,000.00 in damages based upon allegations of harassment by an Ameriprise Financial Services stockbroker regarding a fee-based account.
Turetzky is also the subject of a FINRA securities arbitration claim which was resolved for $3,600,000.00 in damages because Turetzky allegedly failed to supervise a stockbroker, resulting in the mismanagement of the customer’s account at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. On December 16, 2021, a customer initiated investment related FINRA securities arbitration claim concerning Turetzky’s conduct was settled for $475,000.00 in damages based upon accusations that Turetzky failed to supervise a stockbroker’s activities in the customer’s Morgan Stanley account. Turetzky’s stockbroker and investment adviser representative registrations at Morgan Stanley were terminated on May 30, 2017. Between March 16, 2018, and January 14, 2019, Turetzky was registered with Liberty Partners Capital Management LLC and Liberty Partners Financial Services LLC. Since January 3, 2019, Turetzky has been associated with Ameriprise Financial Services as a stockbroker and investment adviser representative.
