Aubrey Walter Lee Jr., of Farmington Hills, Michigan, a stockbroker registered with Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner Smith Incorporated, was the subject of a customer initiated investment related complaint that was settled on December 6, 2023, for $76,687.50 based upon the alleged unsuitable investment recommendation of variable annuities when Lee was associated with Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner Smith Incorporated.
Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Public Disclosure shows that Lee was also referenced in a customer initiated investment related complaint filed on September 16, 2005, in which the customer requested $6,000.00 in damages based upon alleged unsuitable advice about mutual funds when Lee was associated with Merrill Lynch. This complaint was denied.
On January 20, 2023, another customer filed an investment related complaint involving Lee’s conduct in which the customer requested $175,000.00 in damages based upon alleged unsuitable recommendations in variable annuities. The complaint was denied.
Lee has been associated with Merrill Lynch in Farmington Hills, Michigan as a stockbroker since August 18, 1987, and as an investment advisor representative since July 17, 1997.
