Arthur Gilbert Faren of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, a stockbroker registered with SunTrust Investment Services Inc., was the subject of a customer initiated investment related Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) securities arbitration claim that was settled for $29,500.00 in damages based upon allegations that Faren did not follow the customer’s instructions regarding stop limit orders when Faren was associated with SunTrust Investment Services Inc. FINRA Arbitration No. 21-00351 (February 2, 2022).

FINRA Public Disclosure shows that Faren is referenced in five other customer initiated investment related disputes concerning Faren’s conduct while associated with securities broker dealers. On October 3, 2000, a customer initiated investment related complaint involving Faren’s conduct was settled to resolve allegations that Faren engaged in unauthorized trading in mutual funds when Faren was associated with Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner Smith Inc.

Another customer filed an investment related complaint involving Faren’s conduct in which the customer requested $62,675.37 in damages based upon allegations that Faren made unsuitable recommendations of mutual funds when Faren was associated with Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner Smith Inc. The securities broker dealer denied this complaint. Faren is also referenced in a different customer initiated investment related complaint in which the customer requested compensation based upon allegations that Faren made unsuitable recommendations of mutual funds. This complaint was closed without a resolution.

On December 27, 2005, a customer initiated investment related NASD securities arbitration claim involving Faren’s conduct was settled for $13,000.00 in damages based upon alleged unsuitable recommendations of stock. NASD Arbitration No. 04-03895.

Faren is also referenced in a customer initiated investment related complaint on August 17, 2009, in which the customer requested $6,634.15 in damages resulting from the sale of corporate bonds when Faren was associated with Wells Fargo Clearing Services LLC. This complaint was denied by the securities broker dealer.

Faren has been associated with Truist Investment Services Inc. as a stockbroker since January 12, 2018, and as an investment advisor representative since January 18, 2018.
