Andrew Templeton Murdoch, of Portland, Oregon, a stockbroker registered with Somerset Securities Inc., was the subject of a customer initiated investment related Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) securities arbitration claim that was settled for $150,359.00 in damages based upon allegations that Murdoch made the unsuitable investment recommendation of iCap Equity LLC private placements when Murdoch was associated with Somerset Securities Inc. FINRA Arbitration No. 24-000137 (March 25, 2024).

This is not the first time that Murdoch has been referenced in a customer initiated investment related dispute concerning Murdoch’s conduct in the securities industry. FINRA Public Disclosure shows that Murdoch was also referenced in a customer initiated investment related FINRA securities arbitration claim that was settled for $20,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Murdoch provided unsuitable advice to the customer about iCap Equity LLC private placements when Murdoch was associated with Somerset Securities Inc. FINRA Arbitration No. 23-03533 (March 25, 2024).

Murdoch was associated with Somerset Securities Inc. in Portland, Oregon from January 10, 2014, to July 14, 2017, before rejoining the securities broker dealer on July 16, 2019. Murdoch was also associated with Somerset Wealth Management LLC in Portland, Oregon from May 14, 2014, to July 14, 2017, and again from August 1, 2019, to August 30, 2022.
