William Wesley Marshall of Plano Texas a stockbroker formerly registered with Ameriprise Financial Services is referenced in a customer initiated investment related arbitration claim which was resolved for $399,000.00 in damages supported by allegations that the customer was advised by Marshall to purchase fraudulent Colorado Rare Earths and BioChemics Inc. stocks that caused the customer to experience losses. FINRA Public Disclosure reveals that Marshall has been identified in five additional customer initiated investment related disputes containing accusations of his misconduct while employed with Hilltop Securities and Ameriprise. Specifically, a customer initiated investment related arbitration claim in regard to Marshall’s conduct was settled for $29,500.00 in damages founded on allegations that false or misleading statements and omissions had been made by the stockbroker concerning the risks of Colorado Rare Earth Inc. common stock purchase warrants; and due diligence was not adequately conducted on those investments prior to Marshall selling them to the Ameriprise customer. Marshall is the subject of another customer initiated investment related arbitration claim which was resolved for $130,000.00 in damages based upon accusations that investment recommendations were not suitable; misrepresentations had been made by Marshall; and private, unregistered securities were sold by the stockbroker away from Hilltop Securities Inc. FINRA Arbitration No. 17-01564 (May 18, 2018). Also, a customer initiated investment related arbitration claim involving Marshall’s activities was settled for 57,000.00 in damages supported by allegations of Marshall’s omissions in regard to BioChemics stock which induced the customer’s purchase. Marshall is referenced in an additional customer initiated investment related arbitration claim which was resolved for $99,000.00 in damages founded on accusations of Marshall having recommended fraudulent equities including those issued by West Mountain Index Advisor Inc. and Colorado Rare Earths Inc. FINRA Arbitration No. 17-02240 (Dec. 19, 2018).
Marshall’s employment with Ameriprise Financial Services Inc. has been terminated as of September 6, 2018.
