Walter Paul Shoczolek III (also known as Walter Paul Shoczolek), of Cornelius, North Carolina, a stockbroker registered with Avantax Investment Services Inc., is the subject of a customer initiated investment related FINRA securities arbitration claim in which the customer requested $500,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Shoczolek made unsuitable investment recommendations in mutual funds and had liquidated investments without authorization during the time that Shoczolek was associated with Avantax Investment Services Inc. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Arbitration No. 23-02405 (September 1, 2023).
This is not the first time that Shoczolek has been referenced in a customer initiated investment related dispute concerning Shoczolek’s conduct in the securities industry. FINRA Public Disclosure shows that Shoczolek is also referenced in a customer initiated investment related complaint that was settled on July 27, 2020, for $30,423.63 in damages based upon allegations that Shoczolek failed to inform the customer about the mutual fund transactions in their account when Shoczolek was associated with Avantax Investment Services.
Shoczolek was associated with Avantax Investment Services Inc. in Cornelius, North Carolina from January 28, 2015, to October 2, 2023. Shoczolek has been associated with Sigma Financial Corporation in Cornelius, North Carolina since September 20, 2023.
