Vincente Castillo, of San Juan, Puerto Rico, a stockbroker currently registered with UBS Financial Services Inc., and UBS Financial Services Incorporated of Puerto Rico, has been named in a customer initiated investment related arbitration claim on January 6, 2017, in which the customer requested $325,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Castillo overconcentrated the customer’s investments in Puerto Rico closed-end funds, and misrepresented the investments to firm customers.
Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Public Disclosure reveals that Castillo has been named in nineteen additional customer initiated investment related disputes containing allegations of Castillo’s misconduct while employed with UBS Financial Services, in which customers have similarly stated allegations, including that Castillo, inter alia, made misrepresentations to the customers concerning Puerto Rico municipal bonds and Puerto Rico closed end funds, overconcentrated the customers’ assets, and effected transactions in the customers’ accounts which were unsuitable. Customers have additionally alleged that UBS Financial Services failed to supervise Castillo’s business activities involving customers’ investments.
