Simon Boowon Song of Los Angeles California a stockbroker formerly employed by AXA Advisors LLC has been barred from associating with any Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) member in any capacity based upon allegations that Song neglected to provide FINRA with a response to its request for information. FINRA Case No. 2017055196201 (Jan. 8, 2018).
FINRA Public Disclosure confirms that Song had initially been suspended on October 27, 2017. FINRA provided Song with an opportunity to terminate his suspension if Song provided FINRA information that was requested from him; however, Song failed to provide information to FINRA by the January 7, 2018 deadline, resulting in his automatic bar.
Song was terminated from AXA Advisors LLC on August 1, 2017 founded on accusations that he failed to make required disclosures to the firm and engaged in an unapproved outside business activity. The firm contended that Song had a history of failing to conform to compliance requirements.
