Robert Douglas Armstrong of Boca Raton Florida a stockbroker registered with Dawson James Securities Inc. is the subject of a customer initiated investment related arbitration claim which was resolved for $96,000.00 in damages based upon accusations that (1) promissory statements and misrepresentations were made to the customer by Armstrong regarding direct participation programs and limited partnerships and (2) the customer was poorly advised by Armstrong in regard to those direct investments during the period in which the stockbroker was associated with Dawson James Securities. FINRA Public Disclosure reveals that Armstrong is referenced in six more customer initiated investment related disputes containing allegations of his wrongdoing while associated with securities broker dealers including Dawson James Securities. On December 31, 2018, a customer filed an investment related arbitration claim involving Armstrong’s conduct in which the customer requested $375,000.00 in damages based upon allegations of omissions and misstatements by the stockbroker concerning alternative investments sold to the Dawson James Securities customer. FINRA Arbitration No. 18-04394. According to the claim, the stockbroker’s investment recommendations were not suitable. The claim also alleges that the customer’s account was not prudently invested.
On January 8, 2019, a customer filed an investment related arbitration claim concerning Armstrong’s activities where the customer sought $105,000.00 in damages founded on accusations that negligence resulted in the customer’s losses. FINRA Arbitration No. 19-00123. The claim alleges that the customer’s account was invested on a negligent basis by the stockbroker. The customer was allegedly provided with bad investment recommendations by Armstrong when he was employed by Dawson James Securities.
Armstrong is also referenced in a customer initiated investment related arbitration claim which was settled for $10,000.00 in damages supported by allegations that misstatements had been made by the stockbroker and that important information was withheld from the Dawson James Securities customer at the time that investment recommendations were made. FINRA Arbitration No. 18-04345 (Mar. 19, 2019). According to the claim, Armstrong provided poor investment advice and did not prudently invest the customer’s assets.
On June 24, 2019, another customer initiated investment related arbitration claim in reference to Armstrong’s conduct was resolved for $62,500.00 in damages based upon accusations that the customer was poorly advised by Armstrong and that misrepresentations and promissory statements were made to the customer about the private placements. Armstrong has been registered with Dawson James Securities since October 10, 2012.
