Rafael Alberto Gonzalez, of Coral Gables, Florida, a stockbroker currently registered with Morgan Stanley, is referenced in a customer initiated investment related FINRA securities arbitration claim which was resolved for $78,000.00 in damages founded on allegations that Gonzalez provided unsuitable recommendations to the customer regarding closed-end funds during the time that he was associated with Morgan Stanley. FINRA Arbitration No. 19-02019 (April 29, 2021).
FINRA Public Disclosure shows that Gonzalez has been identified in fifteen more customer initiated investment related disputes containing accusations of his sales practice violations while employed by securities broker dealers, including Santander Securities and UBS Financial Services. Gonzalez is the subject of a customer initiated investment related FINRA securities arbitration claim in which the customer sought $250,000.00 in damages based upon allegations of unsuitable and misrepresented trades by Gonzalez at UBS Financial Services. Gonzalez is also referenced in a customer initiated investment related FINRA securities arbitration claim which was resolved for $750,000.00 in damages founded on allegations of negligent misrepresentation and unsuitable transactions concerning Puerto Rico mutual funds and municipal bonds by Gonzalez when he was registered with Santander Securities. FINRA Arbitration No. 19-01464 (July 7, 2020). According to the claim, FINRA rules and securities laws were violated, and Santander Securities failed to supervise.
Gonzalez is the subject of another customer initiated investment related FINRA securities arbitration claim which was settled for $150,000.00 in damages based upon accusations of the customer’s account being overconcentrated by Gonzalez in government bonds and Puerto Rico closed-end funds while Gonzalez was associated with UBS Financial Services. FINRA Arbitration No. 19-03805 (January 4, 2021). The claim alleges that Gonzalez misrepresented risks relating to having a concentration in those investments.
