Michael Leonard Whitaker (also known as Mike Leonard Whitaker), of The Villages, Florida, a stockbroker registered with Newbridge Securities Corporation, is the subject of a customer initiated investment related FINRA securities arbitration claim in which the customer requested $70,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Whitaker breached his fiduciary duties, breached a contract, was negligent, violated state securities laws, and violated FINRA rules in connection with the sale of alternative investments during the time that Whitaker was associated with Newbridge Securities Corporation. FINRA Public Disclosure shows that Whitaker is referenced in three other customer initiated investment related disputes concerning Whitaker’s conduct while associated with Newbridge Securities Corporation. On May 24, 2022, a customer filed an investment related FINRA securities arbitration claim involving Whitaker’s conduct in which the customer requested $47,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Whitaker was negligent and breached his fiduciary duties in connection with the recommendation and sale of alternative investments. FINRA Arbitration No. 22-01133. The claim also alleges negligent supervision by Newbridge Securities Corporation.
On June 28, 2022, a customer filed an investment related FINRA securities arbitration claim involving Whitaker’s conduct in which the customer requested compensation based upon allegations that Whitaker was negligent, made misrepresentations of material fact, and breached his fiduciary duties in connection with the recommendation and sale of alternative investments. FINRA Arbitration No. 22-01447. The claim alleges that the securities broker dealer failed to supervise him.
Whitaker is also referenced in a customer initiated investment related FINRA securities arbitration claim that was settled for $14,999.00 in damages based upon allegations that Whitaker breached his fiduciary duties and breached a contract in connection with the recommendation and sale of alternative investments.
