John Cornelius Troutman Jr. of Beaufort South Carolina a stockbroker currently employed by Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner Smith Inc. is referenced in a customer initiated investment related written complaint on February 26, 2018 where the customer alleged unsuitable investment recommendations to have been made to the customer between September 1, 2014 and February 26, 2018.

Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Public Disclosure further reveals that on April 24, 2008, a customer filed an investment related complaint concerning Troutman’s conduct in which the customer requested damages estimated to exceed $5,000.00 based upon accusations that a variable annuity was misrepresented during the time that Troutman was associated with Morgan Keegan & Company, Inc.

Subsequently, a customer initiated investment related civil action involving Troutman’s activities was settled to resolve allegations that while Troutman was associated with SunTrust Investment Services, Inc., the customer was charged inappropriate commissions relating to stock transactions. Civil Action No. 096249 (Apr. 5, 2010).
