Luke Foster Lannister (also known as Lucas Foster Seward), of Rockville, Maryland, a stockbroker registered with Grove Point Investments LLC, has been discharged by the securities broker dealer on November 28, 2023, based upon allegations that Lannister charged excessive commissions and engaged in unauthorized trading in stocks.
Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Public Disclosure shows that Lannister is referenced in three customer initiated investment related disputes concerning his conduct while associated with securities broker dealers. On November 8, 2022, a customer filed an investment related complaint involving Lannister’s conduct in which the customer requested $38,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Lannister incorrectly explained the terms of a variable annuity rider during the time that Lannister was associated with Cuso Financial Services L.P. The complaint alleged that the customer was led to believe that the guaranteed minimum withdrawal benefit rider on the annuity would provide $2,000.00 in monthly guaranteed income.
On October 12, 2023, a different customer initiated investment related complaint involving Lannister’s conduct was settled for $30,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Lannister engaged in discretionary trading without prior written permission and engaged in unsuitable trading in stocks, given the customer’s risk tolerance when Lannister was associated with Grove Point Investments LLC.
On November 29, 2023, an additional customer initiated investment related complaint involving Lannister’s conduct was settled for $41,850.18 in damages based upon allegations that Lannister made misrepresentations of material fact, churned the customer’s account, and engaged in unauthorized trading in stocks during the time that Lannister was associated with Grove Point Investments LLC.
Lannister was associated with Grove Point Investments LLC in Rockville, Maryland from February 16, 2021, to November 28, 2023. Previously, Lannister was associated with Cuso Financial Services L.P. in Columbia, Maryland from May 12, 2016, to January 15, 2021.
