James Anthony Davenport of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, an investment advisor representative of JT Stratford LLC, was the subject of a customer initiated investment related complaint that was settled on January 20, 2023, for $12,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Davenport made unsuitable recommendations and failed to execute stop-loss orders when Davenport was associated with JT Stratford LLC.
This is not the first time that Davenport has been referenced in a customer initiated investment related dispute concerning Davenport’s conduct in the securities industry. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Public Disclosure shows that Davenport is also referenced in a customer initiated investment related complaint filed on June 28, 2018, in which the customer requested $25,834.22 in damages based upon allegations that Davenport made omissions of material fact in connection with the sale of real estate securities during the time that Davenport was associated with Triad Advisors LLC. The securities broker dealer denied this complaint.
Davenport has been associated with JT Stratford LLC as an investment advisor representative since July 2015. He was also associated with Triad Advisors LLC as a stockbroker from January 4, 1999, to August 13, 2021, and associated with Silver Oaks Securities Inc. from August 12, 2021, to December 31, 2021.
