Daniel Edward Brunette (also known as Dan Brunette), of Indianapolis, Indiana, a stockbroker registered with First Allied Securities Inc., was the subject of a customer initiated investment related complaint that was settled on June 24, 2022, for $12,500.00 in damages based upon allegations that Brunette made unsuitable recommendations, failed to supervise certain representatives, committed fraud, and failed to perform due diligence in connection with the sale of direct investments when Brunette was registered with First Allied Securities Inc.

Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Public Disclosure shows that Brunette is referenced in fifteen other customer initiated investment related disputes concerning Brunette’s conduct while registered with securities broker dealers. On July 22, 2004, a customer initiated investment related complaint involving Brunette’s conduct was settled for $20,585.24 in damages based upon allegations that Brunette made misrepresentations of material fact in connection with the sale of variable life insurance policies when Brunette was registered with Northwestern Mutual Investment Services LLC.

On March 22, 2005, another customer filed an investment related complaint involving Brunette’s conduct in which the customer requested $131,492.45 in damages based upon allegations that Brunette misrepresented material fact in connection with the sale of variable life insurance policies. The securities broker dealer denied the complaint.

Brunette is also referenced in a customer initiated investment related securities arbitration claim that was settled for $50,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Brunette misrepresented life insurance. (September 25, 2005).

On March 18, 2020, an additional Northwestern Mutual Investment Services LLC customer filed an investment related complaint involving Brunette’s conduct in which the customer requested $3,034,852.00 in damages based upon allegations that Brunette made misrepresentations in connection with the sale of life insurance policies. The securities broker dealer denied the complaint.

Brunette was registered with First Allied Securities Inc. as a stockbroker between October 17, 2012, and September 8, 2022. He has been registered with Cetera Advisors LLC as a stockbroker since September 8, 2022, and registered with Cetera Investment Advisers LLC as an investment advisor representative since November 12, 2020.
